Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 health and safety concerns, the ASCE YMF Fall 2020 PE Refresher Course is cancelled.
The YMF PE Refresher Course is typically held twice a year for the April and October Exams on the UH Manoa campus on Saturday mornings. The Spring session (April exam) registration opens in December, with the course running between January - April. The Fall session (October exam) registration opens in July, and the course runs from August - October.
Please refer to the Hawaii Board of Professional Engineers, Architects, Surveyors & Landscape Architects website for official information on how to become a licensed PE in Hawaii. The information provided below is to help guide you in the right direction.
Examinees must first apply to the Hawaii board for approval to sit for the exam in Hawaii. Applications must be filed no later than ninety calendar days prior to the date of the exam. Visit the board’s website for instructions on the approval process.
(Note to repeat examinees: The board requires that repeat examinees provide evidence of continuing efforts to complete the licensure process within the previous two years to be eligible to take an exam in Hawaii.)
After the board has notified you of your approval, register online with NCEES to reserve your seat for the exam. Your exam type, discipline, module, and/or site cannot be changed after the NCEES registration deadline.
